JTRC has developed an innovative free-range poultry model that the APMI (African Poultry Multiplication Initiative) and Head of Silverlands Tanzania have called “Ground breaking” and “Revolutionary.”

Our zero-energy houses have large free ranges attached to them, and the birds are encouraged to forage in the ranges from 3 weeks of age. This model of free-range pasture on a rotational basis achieves excellent Food Conversion Ratios (FCR) and ensures an average weight gain of up to 2.5 kg in 5 weeks, while cutting feed costs by 10%.
